![]() We then foolishly returned at 1am and were asked if we would like to be seated in a private booth or near the business men table to make some money! At this point I would like to add we are 4 Irish woman looking to have a nice quite cocktail not 4 prostitutes looking for business I have never been so insulted and offended in my life. First we had made a reservation for 1am for 4pax and respectfully arrived at 12.45 to be asked by an extremely rude doorman if we could articulate time and to come back at 1am and had the door slammed in our faces. Worst treatment my friends and I have ever received in a bar. If you are looking for friendly staff and a delicious cocktail then you are going to the WRONG place. Save yourself the time, hassle and euros and look elsewhere! I saw no couples stay longer than one drink (many staying even less time than us) and I’m not sure if it was the uncomfortable seating or dreadful drinks that hurried them on their way…Īlso - for a speakeasy bar, the choice of loud hip hop with a bass so booming you could barely talk over it was an odd one. Really cramped and unpleasant and left with back ache and pins and needles. Sit on what is basically a windowsill right by the front door or the toilets Shoved in to a small booth with other couplesĢ. The bar is also incredibly uncomfortable and your seating options are:ġ. I didn’t want to finish mine but at the price I pinched my nose and downed it - grim. Watered down, tasteless and unimaginative. The drinks menu itself is pretty terrible, and the execution of the drinks on it even worse. We visit cocktail bars regularly and have been to “speakeasy” style venues in many cities around the world and this is easily the worst. Would not recommend and would definitely not come again!Īll hype and no substance. I don't understand how the reviews are so good?! So you end up paying over €30 for effectively 2 shots. So cheeky considering how expensive they are!! It's just a huge con and you end up feeling cheated. Each had the biggest ice cube I've ever seen in and, I don't know what came over me, but I lifted my husband's ice cube out of his drink (a short whiskey looking glass) and no word of a lie the cocktail was the size of a shot. Ordered a drink each and when they came they tasted alright but nothing special. If you're working in a bar like this, at least have some product knowledge. Our waitress came over and I was asking questions about the drinks, which she was unable to answer. It is so dark in the bar it was hard to read the menu but, again, we found this quite funny and quirky. We were early for our reservation and were told we can either sit basically in the window sill and they would move us when our table became free or we could sit at the bar. We couldn't even find the place first of all as it is an unmarked door - which we get its a speakeasy and thought it was quite funny, although I was bursting for the loo. It was awful and disappointing, so much so in fact we stayed for 1 drink only. I was so excited to come here, based off all of the glowing reviews! While there is some amount of crossover, interior stairs have their own code requirements.Came here as part of a trip for my husband's birthday. It should be noted that building codes and regulations for exterior stairs are not exactly the same as those for interior stairs. They can be styled in a variety of ways as long as they provide adequate space for a hand to grip them. Rails must be able to support a load of at least 200 pounds and must extend at minimum 12 inches horizontally past the riser nosing at the top of the stairs and at least equal to one tread depth horizontally at the bottom of the stairs. The associated railing height code states that these rails must be placed between 34 and 38 inches above the walking surface of the stairs. ![]() This applies to any staircase with two or more risers. ![]() While the finer details will ultimately be influenced by your local government's building regulations, the International Building Code, the International Residential Code and the standards set by the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 maintain that exterior stairs that are a required point of egress – in other words, stairs that must be crossed on your way in and out of the building – must have handrails. ![]()
